About this integration
With WMS (Web Mapping Service), it is possible to retrieve data from an external source, visualized in GeoApps. A WMS can be used to read topographic backgrounds, but also specific map layers from, for example, PDOK. With a WMS, the data is hosted and visualized by the provider, so you always stay up-to-date.
It is also possible to publish your own map layers from GeoApps as WMS with predefined symbology, pop-ups and optimal performance. This makes it possible to use map layers in other WebGIS or Desktop applications as well. The administrator can optionally provide authentication for optimal security. This way you can easily share data with colleagues and clients in other applications, while the data remains hosted in GeoApps and always up-to-date.
